New options from MRAM product family

Freescale Semiconductor has expanded its Magnetoresistive Random Access Memory (MRAM) family with a 4Mbit extended temperature range (-40°C to +105°C) non-volatile RAM (nvRAM) product. The MR2A16AV is a 3.3V asynchronous memory organised as 256K words by 16 bits, featuring 35ns read and write cycle times.

A 1Mbit option has also been released for commercial applications, with a temperature range from 0°C to 70°C.

Interconnects satisfy high-speed LVDS and VESA

JAE Europe has announced a family of connectors and continuous and 3.0A peak. low output ripple of a linear regulator. pre-configured flat-flex cable assemblies for high-speed The high operating efficiency signal standards including LVDS and VESA. The FI-R/JF-04 simplifies thermal management family includes special features for optimal impedance and reduces heatsink size. Two matching, error-free assembly in high-volume resistors are used to programme applications, and extra reliability in the field.

The FI-R series connectors are 0.5mm-pitch, delivering the output voltage and the a compact solution in 21-way, 31-way, 41-way or 51-way design can be completed configurations. The JF-04 series pre-configured FPC and without an external inductor. connector assemblies are directly compatible with the This allows the entire solution to FI-R series connection system, and are available in seven different lengths from 10cm to 100cm. be built within a footprint less

NXP acquire BlueStreak microcontrollers

NXP and Sharp completed an agreement for NXP to acquire the complete line of ARM7- and ARM9-based BlueStreak microcontrollers, with NXP adding a team of system, application and software engineers from Sharp to support the portfolio.

11 BlueStreak products will join NXP™s portfolio for a total of 50 ARM-based MCU products. This will make the world™s largest portfolio of ARM7 and ARM9 processor- based microcontroller products.

PCI-to-PCI bridge allows extra PCI devices and card slots

Tundra Semiconductor has expanded its portfolio of PCI and PCI-X bridges. The Tsi352™ makes it possible to extend a system’s load capability limit beyond that of a single PCI bus by allowing motherboard designers to add more PCI devices or more PCI option card slots. The Tsi352 has two identical PCI Interfaces that handle PCI transactions for its respective bus. This traffic isolation can increase system performance in many applications such as multimedia.
