The Astec NLP250 series 250W AC/DC power supplies deliver compact and convenient front-end conversion for distributed power architectures. |
Dimensions of 10.2cm x 17.8cm x 3.8cm,
suitable for 1U-high rack systems, combine
with a choice of 12V, 24V or 48V outputs to
simplify system integration.
The 24V and 48V models are suitable for feeding
isolated brick converters or intermediate bus
architectures, while the 12V model can be used
to directly power boards fitted
with multiple non-isolated
POL DC/DC converters. Typical
conversion efficiency is 86% at
230V AC input. Each unit also
provides an auxiliary ‘always-on’
5V DC output for applications
that require standby
operation, as well as a 12V
output for powering fans.
Maximum surge-current
capability is 130% of the
rated steady-state current for
500ms, which also makes the
NLP250 series suitable for
powering capacitive loads or
electromechanical devices such
as relays, actuators, motors and
print-head solenoids.
Available variants include
versions for industrial applications,
as well as medical power supplies
approved to UL/cUL2601-1 and
VDE EN60601-1. The medical versions also have
140µA ground leakage for extra safety, and
include fuses in both live and neutral inputs.
