LDOs minimise external components and maximise battery lifetime
|
|
The AS1360 family of LDO voltage regulators from austriamicrosystems is capable of producing a stable output voltage using a 1µF ceramic output capacitor, to save cost and footprint in portable and batterypowered equipment. |
With an extremely low
quiescent current of
1.5µA and low drop-out
voltage of 400mV, these
devices also help to
extend battery life
and are ideal for
applications which
are always on.
A variety of fixed
output voltages are
available, accurate to
within ±1.5%. The
available voltages are 1.8V,
2.5V, 3.0V, 3.3V and 5.0V.
The devices are also capable of delivering up
to 250mA of output current. Combined with a
high input voltage of up to 20V, this enables
the AS1360 to drive applications with a high
input-to-output voltage differential.
Integrated short-circuit and over-current
protection also save part count and board
space, enabling a compact and efficient
solution.
