Analogue switches maximise signal fidelity
|
|
Vishay has introduced two sets of 44V CMOS Single-Pole/Single-Throw (SPST) switches that provide low-distortion analogue switching for audio, video, data or power applications. |
All devices minimise signal distortion and losses
by presenting a low nominal on-resistance of
4Ω, with 0.2Ω flatness. In addition, 80ns turn-on
time and 60ns turn-off time make these devices
suitable for switching high-speed data or video
signals.
One set of switches comprises the DG451,
DG452 and DG453. These are pin-compatible with
the Vishay DG411, DG412 and DG413 respectively,
and ease power supply requirements by reducing
power dissipation to 18µW. The DG451 provides
four Normally-Closed (NC) switches, while
those in the DG452 are Normally Open (NO).
The DG453 comprises two NO and two NC
switches.
The second series of switches introduced
comprises the DG454,
DG455 and DG456. These
devices implement an onchip
logic-voltage supply,
which relieves the need to
provide an external supply.
The requirement for
associated PCB tracking
and power-supply
sequencing capability are
also eliminated. The DG454
and DG455 provide
designers with the choice
of four NC or four NO
switches. The DG456
provides two NO and two
NC switches.
All six devices are fully specified with dual
supplies at ±5V or ±15V, or a single supply of
12V. They have logic-control thresholds of 0.8V
and 2.4V, thereby ensuring compatibility with
low-voltage TTL or CMOS signals.
