Converter produces -28V from 1.5V-5.5V input
|
|
AME has introduced the AME5150 inverting DC/DC converter, which converts an input voltage between 1.5V and 5.5V to a regulated negative output voltage up to -28V. |
The low supply current
and fixed (400ns) off-time
control promote high
efficiency over a wide
range of load conditions.
Further advantages
include an integrated
power switch with 1Ω
on-resistance, as well as
small external components.
These enable a compact
solution with low power
dissipation, suitable for
voltage-biasing
applications in batterypowered
equipment.
The fixed off-time control scheme saves
energy by automatically reducing quiescent
current to 65µA during the OFF portion of
the cycle. An Enable pin is also provided,
allowing the AME5150 to be placed in
shutdown mode drawing only 0.1µA.
