Miniature electrolytics deliver long life up to 100V
The NRSG series from NIC Components
combines low impedance with long life
and stability at low temperatures.
The miniature aluminium electrolytic capacitors are
supplied in a space-saving, radial-leaded, polarised
package with voltage ratings up to 100V DC.
The low ESR and ultra-low impedance
characteristics of the devices make them ideal for
low-voltage, high-current power-conversion and
regulation applications. The NRSG series is available
with capacitance values that range from 6.8µF to
6800µF and voltage ratings up to a new upper limit
of 100V DC.
With case sizes as small as 5mm by 11mm (for
the 6.8µF, 100V device) the NRSG series can be easily
designed into densely populated circuit boards.
A life expectancy, depending on part number, of
between 2000 and 5000 hours at 105°C allows parts
from the range to cope well with high ambient
temperatures. At the other end of the operating
temperature range NRSG parts demonstrate
excellent stability with an impedance ratio of two
quoted for Z-25°C / Z+20°C at 120Hz. The NRSG
series offers an operating temperature range from
-40°C to 105°C.
