Two-channel gate driver eases design, optimises performance
The ON Semiconductor NCP5104 is
a half-bridge driver with outputs to
drive two N-channel power MOSFETs
or IGBTs directly.
With matched propagation delays, Under-
Voltage Lockout (UVLO) on both channels, and
bootstrap operation for proper turn-on of the
high-side switch, the NCP5104 eases design
and ensures reliable system performance.
Further benefits include dV/dt immunity of
50V/ns allowing a robust solution and a wide
gate-drive output range from 10V to 20V. Its
250mA output-source and 500mA output-sink
capability allows use in low- to mid-power
applications. The logic input is compatible with
3.3V and 5V signals, allowing direct connection
to a wide variety of controlling devices such as
an MCU or FPGA.
