EMI-hardened op-amps maximise small-signal integrity
The National Semiconductor LMV851,
LMV852 and LMV854 operational
amplifiers are EMI hardened to operate at
low power and low input-bias current in
noisy environments such as industrial
control systems and medical equipment.
The LMV85x family comprises four unity-gain
stable op-amps, each having a bandwidth of
8MHz. The IC maintains stability for capacitive
loads as large as 200pF. EMI hardening has
achieved an EMI Rejection Ratio (EMIRR) of 87dB at
1.8GHz, allowing a wide variety of devices and
products to overcome electromagnetic
interference. The operating temperature range
from -40°C to 125°C reinforces the op-amp’s
credentials as a reliable solution for use in industrial
systems as well as medical instruments. Current
draw is 0.4mA per channel, which saves energy
and enables a simpler power-supply design.
Available surface-mount package options
for the single, dual and quad operational
amplifiers, are the space-saving 5-pin SC70,
8-pin MSOP and 14-pin TSSOP, providing designers
with flexible choices when selecting the optimal
op-amp characteristic.
