MOSFET driver supports flexibility and high ratings
The Vishay SiP41111 half-bridge driver
has high drive capabilities for fast
switching of power MOSFETs operating
at bootstrap supply voltages up to 75V.
Multiple converter topologies are supported,
and a bootstrap diode is integrated to reduce
component count and save board space.
The high bootstrap-voltage
capability allows
the SiP41111 to satisfy
automotive duties
including driving High-
Intensity Discharge (HID)
lamps, as well as generalpurpose
applications such
as motor control, power
supplies and Class-D audio
amplifiers. The device also
operates over a wide input
voltage range, from 9V to
13.2V, providing extra
flexibility for use in a wide
range of applications.
The SiP41111 is capable of sinking and
sourcing up to 2A peak current and will drive
a 1000pF load with 15ns typical rise and fall
times. Combined with the fast performance
of the bootstrap diode, this enables
operation at up to 400kHz switching
frequency.
Independent high-side and low-side
drivers allow the SiP41111 to support halfbridge,
two-switch forward and active-clamp
forward topologies.
