Signal op-amps enable unprecedented audio purity
Four new op-amps for precision signal-chain
applications, from National
Semiconductor, achieve 0.00003%
Total Harmonic Distortion plus Noise
(THD+N) for high-performance audio,
measurement and automation systems.
The new devices include the LME49860 44V
dual op-amp with ±26mA output-current
capability. Features include Power Supply
Rejection Ratio (PSRR) greater than 120dB,
as well as a wide dynamic range for easier
high-accuracy signal-chain design.
Three further devices are available, rated
to 34V and offering single-, dual- and quadop-
amp configurations. The LME49710,
LME49720 and LME49740 will deliver ±45mA
of output current and are unity-gain
stable over a wide supply voltage
range of ±2.5V to ±17V.
As well as low distortion, further
benefits include voltage-noise
density of 2.7nV/√Hz, enabling
high signal integrity in demanding
applications. Slew rate of ±20V/µs
and gain bandwidth of 55MHz
also aid high-performance system
design. A selection of surfacemount
and through-hole package
styles is available.
