Re-optimised remote control receivers for low-energy lighting

Five families of infrared receivers for remote-control applications, introduced by Vishay, enable end-user equipment to perform more reliably in environments where energy-saving fluorescent lamps are used.

The TSOP313, TSOP323, TSOP343, TSOP383 and TSOP393 families are optimised to suppress spurious pulses from modern, low-energy light sources. By using the latest-generation receiver IC, these infrared receivers improve sensitivity while reducing power consumption. In addition, the demodulated output signal can be directly decoded by a microprocessor, which further reduces complexity and cost.

Three industry-standard pin configurations are supported across the five families, and available devices are compatible with all common infrared remote-control data formats. Six commonly-used centre frequencies are available: 30kHz, 33kHz, 36kHz, 38kHz, 40kHz and 56kHz.
