Low-side driver range for diverse design beyond 1MHz
Fairchild Semiconductor has a broad
selection of low-side gate drivers, with
2A- and 4A-rated devices providing
flexible choices for designers.
Short and well-controlled internal
propagation delays enable switching
frequencies above 1MHz. In addition, dualdriver
devices feature matched delays
between the two channels for applications
such as synchronous rectifiers where interchannel
timing is critical. Two drivers can
also be connected in parallel to effectively
double the current capability driving a single
MOSFET. All devices have a high maximum
operating voltage of 18V for rugged and
reliable operation.
Package options include a choice of 2mm
x 2mm 6-lead MLP or 5-lead SOT23 packages
for single drivers and 3mm x 3mm 8-lead
MLP or SOIC-8 packages for dual-driver
devices. Designers can also choose from TTL or
CMOS input thresholds to optimise circuit
compatibility.
For dual-driver ICs, several logic-configuration
options are available including inverting or noninverting
inputs.
