Optocouplers tackle harsher industrial environments
The ACPL-M43U, ACPL-M46U and
ACPL-M61U optocouplers from Avago
Technologies are able to operate at
temperatures up to 125°C for tough
industral applications.
The new devices allow equipment
designers greater freedom when
implementing isolation, enabling
improved performance and signal
integrity.
The ACPL-M43U and ACPLM46U
support decoupling
Intelligent Power Modules (IPM) in
industrial motor-control systems.
The ACPL-M43U has very high
Common-Mode Rejection (CMR)
of at least 30kV/µs for enhanced
immunity to transient noise. The
ACPL-M46U is optimised for close
propagation-delay matching
between devices to minimise
dead-time in inverters and motor
controls, leading to improved
efficiency.
The ACPL-M61U supports data rates up to
10Mbit/s, enabling high-speed isolation for
CANBus and MCU interfaces as well as ADCs and
DACs.
All devices feature internal shielding and an
SO-5 package outline, which has 75% smaller
footprint than the standard dual-inline package
typically used for industrial optoisolators.
