MOSFETs boost efficiency at lower gate voltages

Rohm’s ECOMOS™ series of MOSFETs save energy in battery-powered applications by achieving low on-resistance when driven at a low gate voltage of 1.5V.

New process technology is responsible for this improvement, which delivers power savings between 20% and 85% compared to conventional devices driven at 2.5V.

The ECOMOS series includes N-channel and P-channel variants rated to 20V and -12V respectively. Eight devices are available, serving applications from 2.5A to 5A.

Further advantages include compact 3-pin and 6-pin TUMT and TSMT packages that support high continuous current within dimensions of 2.0mm x 1.7mm x 0.85mm for the 3-pin packages, and 2.9mm x 1.6mm x 1.0mm for the 6-pin packages.
