Smallest 1-Form-A relay achieves EN60950-1 isolation

The CPC1225N from Clare is a high-voltage 1-Form-A, single-pole, normally open, Solid-State Relay(SSR) in a miniature 4-pin SOP package that achieves 1500Vrms input-to-output isolation and more than 0.4mm distance through isolation, thereby meeting the supplementary-isolation requirements of EN/IEC 60950-1.

The CPC1225N achieves this high isolation within small overall dimensions by using optically-coupled MOSFET technology combined with advanced double-moulded vertical construction. The device delivers a 20% board-space saving compared to the nearest alternative 4-pin device currently on the market. Arc-free operation without the use of a snubber circuit saves further PCB space and component count.

The CPC1225N generates no EMI or RFI and has no moving parts, thereby delivering high reliability and longevity.
