DC fans deliver more choice on performance and features

The OD1238 series of DC fans from Orion Fans are available in a variety of configurations and are aggressively priced. Capacities range from 45cfm to 220cfm for applications requiring high cooling airflow.

Designers can choose from a number of options, including a tachometer output, a thermistor terminal for temperature-related speed control, a PWM speed-control input, and constantspeed operation with variable-voltage input. A rotation-detector alarm output is also available.

The OD1238 series is available in a variety of models, including multifunction, high-performance, waterproof, and economy versions. All fans feature brushless DC motor technology with auto-restart and polarity protection, combining high reliability, low audible noise and long life. OD1238 fans are rated for 65,000 hours total lifetime.
