PCI Express interconnects maximise options for designers

JAE’s portfolio of interconnect solutions for designers building high-speed serial systems using PCI Express includes high-quality connectors for both PCI Express Card and Mini Card formats as well as external PCI Express interconnects.

The DE1 series connectors include cable-mounted plugs and PCB-mounted receptacles for external PCI Express Card and wired PCI Express interconnects, and feature through-hole pin terminations. Low contact resistance of 30mΩ provides extra flexibility for designers to optimise cable lengths.

The cable-mounted plugs also feature a mechanical lock to ensure correct mating. The DE1 series provides a compact and robust solution for connecting a wide variety of boards and subsystems.

The MM60 PCI Express Mini Card connector system is available in two versions, with or without a stand-off, to support a wide variety of functional modules. The stand-off version supports modules with underside-mounted components up to 1.8mm maximum profile. Secure retention for the whole card is a key benefit of the MM60 system. To hold the entire module securely, the connector and latch are positioned at either end of the card and operate together to enable module ejection.
