Space-efficient, versatile, surface-mount IDC connectors

For rapid assembly of wire-to-board connections and LED lighting systems using any gauge wire from 0.321mm to 1.6mm, three series of surface-mount IDC connectors from AVX enable a choice of configurations.

The AVX 9175, 9176 and 9177 series utilise Insulation-Displacement Connection (IDC) technology to support rapid assembly without wire preparation or hand soldering. The 9175, 9176 and 9177 series are suitable for use with wires of 26-28AWG, 18-24AWG and 14-20AWG respectively. AVX also offers dedicated single-wire insertion tools that are quick to learn, easy to use, robust and reliable in high-volume use.

All three series can be used with stranded or solid-core wire, and can be stacked end-to-end enabling custom widths within the most efficient footprint.

The 9175 and 9176 series are available in 2-way or 3-way versions, and the 9177 series is also available in a single-way version as well as 2- and 3-way configurations. All three series have a moulded-in wire-restraining feature that enhances the reliability and ruggedness of IDC connections.
