A smart-card connector for every need

C&K Components has a large range of PCB-mount connectors for smart-card applications, providing a wide variety of configurations for ISO-compliant cards as well as SIM/SAM cards. The connectors provide a number of value-added features for space savings, robustness, long lifetimes and ease of use.

There are currently 10 connector types available, allowing designers to choose attributes including ultra-small footprint, through-hole or surface-mount assembly, a variety of cover and locking designs, landing contacts, integrated card guides, and card detection using either an exposed blade or IP54-sealed switch.

Special design features include some variants with a spooned contact area for added resilience, inlaid contact finish to extend the lifetime of the contacts’ gold plating, and landing contacts featuring a minimal wiping action to remove non-conductive material without increasing card wear.

Available versions include the CCM01 and CCM02 families for 85.6mm x 54mm ISO cards. Alternatively, the CCM03 and CCM04 for 25mm x 15mm SIM/SAM cards meet GSM 11-11 and EN1375-1 standards. Members of the CCM04 family are compatible with both card types.
