Fully-tuned Bluetooth 2.1+EDR modules streamline development and production
Adding to the performance
enhancements of Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
(Enhanced Data Rate), the connectBlue™
OHCI406 and OHCI411 Host-Controller
Interface (HCI) modules also save time in
development and production by storing
the MAC address and radio tuning
parameters directly on the module.
This saves developers from storing parameters on
the host processor, and also eliminates trimming,
tuning and testing of radio parameters during
production. As the modules are both fully-tuned
and radio-tested, the OHCI406 and OHCI411 can
be used directly in demanding applications
throughout industrial, medical or
other fields. The input sensitivity of
-90dBm and output power of 7dB
enable high data integrity over
distances up to 150 metres.
The OHCI411 module operates
from 3.3V to 6.6V and shares its
16mm x 36mm outline with the
connectBlue OEMSPA311/331
Bluetooth modules, thereby allowing
designers to use the same connector
and mounting-hole arrangement.
The OHCI406 provides a miniaturised
PCB measuring 14mm x 22.5mm
and operates from a 2.7V to 3.6V
supply. Sharing identical functionality
with the larger module, the OHCI406
serves portable and battery-powered applications.
