Solid-state relays with internal TVS save cost and board space
The CPC1317 1-Form-A solid-state
relay from Clare integrates a
bi-directional Transient-Voltage
Suppressor (TVS) to
ensure protection against fast
transients and high-energy
surges up to 600W peak pulse
power.
Further benefits include Clare’s patented
OptoMOS® architecture featuring efficient
MOSFET switches and photovoltaic die,
which ensures 3750V (root mean square) of
input-to-output isolation.
Designed to meet EN50130-4 covering
EMC specifications for alarm systems, the
CPC1317 provides immunity to unauthorised
magnetic actuation, which electro-mechanical
relays cannot achieve. The device is also
UL-recognised and
meets IEC60950-1
for use in safety-critical
systems.
The CPC1317 is
available in an
8-pin, space-saving
surface-mount
package.
