Thin and thermally-efficient RGB LED is bright performer

By combining three red, green and blue LEDs, each capable of being driven at up to 350mA, in a single package, the ASMTMT00 RGB Moonstone™ from Avago Technologies delivers a typical output of 110 lumens from a compact and thermally-efficient package.

The low-profile, surface-mount RGB LED has a maximum height of 3.3mm and maximum length of 15.75mm including the leads and exposed heat slug. The low height of the package allows direct mounting behind a front panel without encroaching on space for other system components. In addition, the exposed-pad design enhances heat transfer from the package to the PCB, which simplifies thermal design, ensures maximum brightness and enhances reliability.

Further performance benefits include a viewing angle of 120° to serve a wide variety of functional or decorative lighting requirements. The device is supplied with silicone encapsulation already applied, thereby delivering a turnkey solution suitable for deployment in a wide range of environments.
