FIFO range is deep and wide for broad choice and fast design cycles

To maximise flexibility for designers managing system-interconnect challenges such as flow control, rate matching and bus matching, Cypress Semiconductor has over 100 types of asynchronous and synchronous FIFO memories.

The broad selection helps designers respond to end-user demands for improvements such as richer features, multi-mode functionality, higher speeds and smoother operation in systems using networking, communications, signal-processing and multi-processing technologies. The comprehensive range includes unidirectional, bidirectional, tri-bus and double-sync configurations with built-in expansion logic and message-passing capabilities.

Cypress FIFOs cover densities from 2kbit to 1Mbit. These include the 128kbit CY7C4291V and 1Mbit CY7C4285V for 3.3V operation, as well as the 4kbit CY7C4211 and 8kbit CY7C4215 families in 5V and 3.3V versions. A wide variety of speeds, bus widths and configurations are available to satisfy diverse system requirements. Industry-standard packages and pin-outs enable easy integration into new and existing designs.
