Tantalum Chips Extended to 63V and 22µF
Vishay has extended its solid
tantalum chip-capacitor series to
22µF with a 63V rating that meets
derating requirements in 28V power-supply
designs.
Featuring a dual-anode construction to
ensure a low ESR, the T97 series is suitable for
safety-critical applications. With ESR values
down to 0.015Ω, these conformal-coated
capacitors with wrap-around terminations
offer high-reliability screening options,
including Weibull grading, and surge-current
testing options in accordance with MIL-PRF-
55365. This differentiates T97 devices from
commercial-grade capacitors by featuring the
required reliability and surge-screening
options necessary to ensure performance in
high-reliability applications, while still
maintaining a maximum capacitance-voltage
product.
The T97 offers ESR values from 0.015Ω to
0.30Ω at 25°C and 100kHz. The series operates
over a temperature range from -55°C up to
85°C, or up to 125°C with voltage derating.
