GPIO Expander Features Dual Independent I/O Voltage Rails
The SX1501 family of GPIO expanders
offers 4-, 8-, and 16-channels, operating
with a drain voltage range from 1.2V
to 5.5V.
The devices connect easily to low core-voltage
chipsets, such as those typically used in battery-powered
or handheld applications, without the
need for level-translating circuits.
Each channel of the bi-directional I/O offers
mask-programmable interrupts, programmable
pull-up/pull-down, and push/pull outputs. Every
5V-tolerant I/O output is capable of sinking 12mA
for LED blinking, while a few of the channels on
each device are capable of sinking up to 24mA.
Both devices are available in a 3mm x 3mm
20-QFN package, as well as in 20-pin or 28-pin
TSSOP packages for the SX1501 and SX1503
respectively. An extended, -40°C to 85°C,
temperature range version of the SX1503 is
packaged in a 4mmx 4mm 28-QFN.
