Filterless Modulation Method Saves on External Components

ROHM’s 2.5W BD5460GUL and BD5461GUL Class D speaker amplifiers use a unique filterless modulation method that eliminates the need for large, expensive output LC filters.

Only three external components are required, realising significant parts and space savings.

ROHM uses BiCDMOS processes to minimise the output transistor on-resistance, resulting in enhanced efficiency of 91% with two10W outputs and an 8Ω load. These Class D speaker amplifiers are therefore suited to high-performance, compact equipment with limited space for adequate heat dissipation.
