Rigid Light Pipes Add Design Flexibility

The rigid light pipes offered by Bivar include an extensive range of sizes, configurations and lens geometries, as well as custom lengths and shapes, to simplify light delivery in a range of designs

Rigid light pipes can be easily integrated into a front panel or PCB assembly. This simplifies design since light sources no longer need to be placed at the point at which light is to be emitted. This can reduce the total number of required components in a design and can cut costly assembly steps.

Panel-mount light pipes are designed to be installed directly into a panel or enclosure, from the front or rear, providingmaximumdesign and assembly flexibility. Bivar can recommend both SMD and through-hole LEDs that are suited for use with their light pipes.

Board-mount light pipes are designed to be mounted directly onto the PCB to transfer light froma surface-mount LED to the point of emission. Various sizes and styles of board-mount light pipes are available in both vertical and right-angle configurations.

All of Bivar’s rigid light pipes aremanufactured fromhigh-quality, UL94V-0 flame-rated, optical-grade polycarbonate.
