NXP Semiconductors : TJA1044 CAN transceiver draws low current in Stand-by mode

The TJA1044 is part of the Mantis family of high-speed CAN transceivers from NXP Semiconductors.

It offers excellent Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) performance. It is also notable for its ideal passive behaviour to the CAN bus when the supply voltage is off. Its very low-current Stand-by mode includes a bus wake-up capability.

The TJA1044 implements the CAN physical layer as defined in the current ISO11898-2:2003 and ISO 11898-5:2007 standards, and the pending updated version, ISO11898-2:201x.

The TJA1044T variant is specified for data rates up to 1Mbit/s. The TJA1044GT and TJA1044GTK variants enable reliable communication in the CAN FD fast phase at data rates up to 5 Mbits/s.
