STMicroelectornics – Low-power serial real-time clock with alarm : M41T62

STMicroelectronics’ M41T62 is a low-power serial Real-Time Clock (RTC) with a built-in 32.768kHz oscillator.

Functions available to the user include a time-of-day clock/calendar, alarm interrupts, a 32kHz output and a programmable square-wave output. The eight clock address locations contain the century, year, month, date, day, hour, minute, second and tenths/hundredths of a second in 24-hour format.

The M41T62 RTC may be used in building- and home-automation lighting systems in which luminaires are programmed to turn on and off at particular times of day.

• I2C serial interface
• 350nA timekeeping current at 3V
• Software clock calibration can adjust timekeeping to within ±5s per month
