E-Switch – New tact switches for wearable and handheld devices

E-Switch tact switches are small, surface-mount designs

A new line of tact switches from E-Switch has been introduced to meet growing demand from manufacturers of wearable technology and handheld devices, which require compact and high-quality components.

The new TL3305, TL3360 and TL3365 miniature tact switches are small, surface mount
designs which fit numerous wearable and handheld device applications.

The TL3305 tact switch is only 4.5mm x 4.5mm in size. It offers the user a choice of two operating forces: 160gf with a lifetime of 200,000 on/off operations, and 260gf, which is rated for 500,000 operations. It also offers multiple actuator lengths of 3.8mm, 5.0mm and 7.0mm and an electrical rating of 50mA at 12V DC.

Designed for right-angle surface-mount applications, the TL3360 offers multiple actuation heights of 2.30mm, 2.80mm, 4.0mm and 4.35mm, plus two operating force options of 185gf or 260gf. This miniature tact switch measures 6mm x 6.5mm, has an electrical rating of 50mA at 12V DC and features an electrical lifespan of 200,000 cycles.

The smallest of the three new switches, the 4.2mm x 3.2mm TL3365 offers an electrical rating of 50mA at 12V DC and an electrical lifespan of 100,000 cycles. The actuation height is 2.25mm, and it has an actuation force of 180gf.
