NXP Semiconductors’ PN7462 is a single-chip NFC controller based on an ARM® Cortex®-M0 microcontroller core, and providing an ISO 7816/EMVCo contact interface for use in dual wired/wireless-interface smart-card readers.
As alternatives to the USB-enabled PN7462, which has 160kbytes of Flash memory, NXP also supplies the PN7362, with 160kbytes of Flash and no ISO 7816 contact interface, and the PN7360, also with no ISO 7816 interface and with 80kbytes of Flash. In all three devices, the ARM Cortex-M0 core may be configured to run fully customised applications.
These parts also include:
- one host interface with either a high-speed mode I2C bus, SPI, USB2.0 or high-speed UART
- two master interfaces – an SPI and a Fast Mode+ I2C bus
- up to 21 GPIOs
