USB Type-C connectors are widely used in mobile devices, because of their compact dimensions and high-density terminal arrangement. Supporting high-speed communication at data rates up to 10Gbits/s, a USB Type-C connector can also provide up to 5A of output current for faster charging of connected devices’ batteries. In addition, the plug’s reversible orientation allows for easy insertion.
The DX07 series connectors from JAE are compatible with release 1.1 of the USB Type-C specification. They also support the 10Gbits/s SuperSpeed data-transfer rate allowed by the USB 3.1 Gen 2 specification.
Plugs with paddle cards and E-markers are available from JAE. It also supplies receptacles in two versions: a two-row surface-mount type and a hybrid, surface-mount and through-hole, type. Two mounting configurations are available: the shape of the mounting terminal determines whether to use an on-board type or a mid-mount type.
JAE also supplies cables with the USB2.0- and USB3.1-compatible Type-C plugs on both ends, and cables with a Type-C plug on one end and a Standard A plug on the other end.
