The AIS3624DQ from STMicroelectronics is an ultra low-power three-axis accelerometer which may be used in a variety of automotive applications which do not have safety requirements. These include motion-activated functions, telematics boxes, impact-recognition and logging systems, and vibration monitoring and compensation.

The AIS3624DQ has dynamically user-selectable full scales of ±6g/±12g/±24g and is capable of measuring acceleration at output data rates ranging from 0.5Hz to 1kHz. The device may be configured to generate an interrupt signal by inertial wake-up and free-fall events, as well as by the position of the device itself. Thresholds and timing of interrupt generators are programmable by the end-user on the fly.

• 10μA current in low-power mode
• Operating-temperature range: -40°C to 105°C
• 10,000g shock survivability
• AEC-Q100 qualified
