NXP – Fast 32-bit MCU with low-power co-processor


The LPC4357 from NXP Semiconductors is an ARM® Cortex®- M4-based microcontroller for embedded applications which includes an ARM Cortex-M0 co-processor.

The Cortex-M0 co-processor is an energy-efficient and easy-to-use 32-bit core which is code-and tool-compatible with the 204MHz ARM Cortex-M4 core. The Cortex-M0 co-processor is intended to perform functions that would otherwise be carried out by an additional 8- or 16-bit MCU.

The LPC4357 offers 1Mbyte of Flash memory, 136kbytes of on-chip SRAM and 16kbytes of EEPROM. It has an on-board colour LCD controller supporting a maximum display resolution of 1,024px x 768px.

The LPC43S57 is a variant of the LPC4357 with added security features in hardware, including an AES encryption engine.
