ROHM Semiconductor – System-on-chip implements voice synthesis


The ML22Q563-NNN, ML22Q563-xxx and ML2256X-xxx from the Lapis Semiconductor division of ROHM Semiconductor are dedicated systems-on-chip for voice synthesis.

The ICs include an HQ-ADPCM decoder which produces high sound quality, a 16-bit DAC, a low-pass filter, and a 1W monaural speaker amplifier for driving speakers.

This combination of functions enables a single-chip implementation of voice synthesis.
