This ultra low-power MCU is based on the high-performance ARM® Cortex®-M4 32-bit processor core operating at a frequency of up to 80MHz and achieving performance of up to 100DMIPS.
The core features a floating-point unit which supports all ARM single-precision data-processing instructions and data types.
The analogue peripherals inside the STM32L432 include a fast 12-bit ADC running at 5Msamples/s, two comparators, one operational amplifier, two DAC channels and a low-power real-time clock. In addition, as many as three capacitive-sensing channels are available.
The STM32L432 implements various power- saving modes for reduced energy consumption. In shut-down mode with two Wake-up pins, the device draws just 8nA. This rises to 28nA in stand-by mode, and 280nA with the real-time clock running. It draws 84μA/MHz in run mode.
The MCU incorporates several protection mechanisms for its embedded Flash memory and SRAM: read-out protection, write protection, proprietary code read-out protection and a firewall.
The STM32L432 is available in a 32-pin QFN package with either 128kbytes or 256kbytes of Flash.
