The PF3000 from NXP Semiconductors is a Power Management IC (PMIC) for use with the applications processor, such as NXP’s i.MX 7 or i.MX 6SL/SX/UL, which runs the main functions in a payment terminal.
Featuring up to four buck converters, six linear regulators, a real-time clock supply and coin-cell charger, the PF3000 can provide power for a complete system: not only the applications processor, but also associated memory and system peripherals.
• 5V, 600mA boost regulator
• Input-voltage range: 2.8V to 4.5V or 3.7V to 5.5V
• Programmable start-up sequence and timing
