Panasonic – Current-sense resistors offer excellent long-term stability and accuracy


Panasonic has introduced a new series of metal plate-type current-sense resistors which have small case sizes and which are rated for high-power applications.

The metal-plate bonding technology used to make the ERJ MP2, ERJ MP3 and ERJ MP4 resistors results in excellent long-term stability. The outer resin, and a structure which offers a very high rate of heat dissipation, enable the resistors to operate over a wide temperature range of -60°C to 170°C.

The components are available with power ratings from 0.5W up to 3W and a resistance range from 1mΩ up to 500mΩ. The devices’ linear temperature coefficient of resistance, which is rated at ≥50ppm, makes it easy for the user to compensate for temperature drift.
