ROHM Semiconductor – Wireless power transmitter IC has Qi certification

ROHM Semiconductor supplies the BD57020MWV, a wireless power-transmitter IC which complies with the Qi medium-power specification published by the Wireless Power Consortium.

The Qi medium-power standard is being adopted by consumer device manufacturers for inductive power transmission because it enables portable devices such as payment terminals to be charged as much as three times faster than they can by transmitters that are compliant with the Qi 5W low-power standard.

ROHM supplies a reference design for a medium-power wireless charger to help accelerate the user’s design process.
