The STM32F723 Discovery Kit from STMicroelectronics is a platform which allows users to develop applications running on an STM32F7 series microcontroller. It features an STM32F723IEK6 MCU, which is based on an ARM® Cortex®-M7 core and includes 512kbytes of Flash memory and 256kbytes of RAM.
The kit makes it easy for system designers to take advantage of the many capabilities of the STM32F723 MCU. These include audio, multi- sensor support, graphics, security, video and high-speed connectivity features.
In addition, the board is set up to accept PMOD, STMod+ and ArduinoTM Uno V3 add- on boards, giving great scope to expand the functionality of a prototype system.
To enable demonstration of the STM32F723’s audio and video capabilities, the board is supplied with a 240px x 240px touchscreen LCD, as well as a stereo 3.5mm jack connector for an audio line input, a stereo 3.5mm jack connector for headphones,
stereo speaker outputs and four ST MEMS microphones.
Users can also readily connect the board to other devices through its generous provision of communications interfaces. These include Hi-Speed USB On-The-Go with on-chip PHY and a Micro-AB connector, Full-Speed USB On-The-Go with a Micro-AB connector and an ESP-01 Wi-Fi® module connector.
The kit is supported by a comprehensive free software offering, including a variety of examples, part of the STM32Cube package.
