C&K – Robust switches offer long cycle life in harsh industrial conditions

The latest C&K switches for use in harsh industrial environments offer the high quality and long cycle life for which C&K’s product portfolio is renowned.
C&K’s two new product series designed for harsh applications and heavy usage are the APB series and the PNP series.

The APB series illuminated switches feature IP67 sealing, and are capable of enduring a minimum of 500,000 switching cycles.

Featuring threaded or snap-in mounting styles, the APB switches may be supplied with painted or laser-etched symbols on their backlit caps. The backlighting LEDs, which are electrically independent of the switching mechanism, make the switches well suited to operation in dark or poorly lit conditions.

The PNP series switches in a polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) thermoplastic housing reliably withstand harsh treatment. These switches feature relatively large solder holes so that they can accept up to two 22 AWG wires in each terminal. C&K has improved access to the terminal to help reduce the duration of the soldering process.

The PNP series switches are available with the option for IP67 or IP68 sealing.
