The new D28V0H1U2P5Q is intended for use in the protection of sensitive electronic circuits from high transient voltages generated by inductive switching. Packaged in a thermally- efficient PowerDI® 5 package, the D28V0H1U2P5Q features a reverse stand-off voltage of 28V and low reverse leakage current. Nevertheless, it can dissipate up to 1,800W of power for each 10/1,000μs transient, a power rating some 20% higher than that of comparable competing devices.
Diodes’ new TVS is also able to handle peak pulse currents of up to 40A. The D28V0H1U2P5Q is guaranteed to comply with the automotive ISO7637-2 load-dump standard and with the transient surge requirements of the IEC 61000-4-5 standard.
The device also meets the EMC requirements of the IEC 61000-4-4 standard and the ESD ratings specified in IEC 61000-4-2.
The D28V0H1U2P5Q occupies a PCB area 40% smaller than that of comparable TVS devices housed in the industry-standard SMC package. Its profile is also 50% lower than that of SMC-packaged parts.
