STMicroelectronics – Entry-level 32-bit MCUs ideal for use in 8- and 16-bit applications



STMicroelectronics’ entry-level 32-bit STM32F030 Value Line of microcontrollers based on an ARM Cortex-M0 core is intended for use in applications that today use an 8-bit or 16-bit MCU.

The STM32F030 devices feature 256kbytes of programme Flash, and are supplied in 32-, 48- or 64-pin LQFP packages, or a 20-pin TSSOP package.

Products in the STM32F0 Value Line provide designers with built-in safety functions, precise internal oscillators, multiple clock sources, and a real-time clock and calendar with alarm and periodic wake-up from stop or stand- by mode. Other important features include a five-channel DMA controller, internal voltage regulator, 12-bit ADC, and versatile communication capabilities such as two I2C interfaces, six USARTs and two serial peripheral interfaces.

The MCUs are backed by the STM32F0 software and hardware ecosystem. Configuration takes only a few seconds with the STM32CubeMX configuration tool. The STM32CubeMX tool can also generate initialisation C code, and automatically download STM32CubeF0 embedded software.
