Nexperia supplies a family of 40V and 45V trench Schottky rectifiers which are ideal for use in switch-mode power supplies and high-frequency voltage converters that have to operate at very high efficiency.
This is because of the combination of low forward voltage and low reverse current which characterises this series of devices.
In addition, these Schottky rectifiers draw a low leakage current thanks to the advanced trench process technology which Nexperia implements.
A clip-bond package design also helps the rectifiers to handle high power outputs safely. Thermal resistance for the devices’ flat-lead surface-mount plastic packages is excellent: 15K/W for the SOD123W package, 12K/W for the SOD128, and 3K/W for the SPD1289.
