RECOM has developed a fully medically-certified 1W DC-DC converter module, the first such device housed in a SIP7 package to provide two Means of Patient Protection (2MOPP) at a 250V AC working voltage.
The new REM1 series’ compact 19.6mm x 6.0mm x 10.2mm design offers engineers more flexibility to configure their design’s PCB layout. In addition, the use of the REM1 pre-certified modules reduces the risk of EMC or safety-certification failures, which can lead to time-consuming and expensive re-designs.
The single-output REM1 operates in ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to 90°C. It satisfies the Class B requirements of EMC regulations with the use of a simple external LC filter. It conforms to the specifications of the IEC 60601-1-2 Fourth Edition medical EMC standard. It is also fully certified to the IEC/EN/ANSI/AAMI 60601 Third Edition safety standards.
