NXP Semiconductors – Ethernet Time-Sensitive Networking reference design includes full software support


The LS1021A Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) reference design from NXP Semiconductors is a platform for designing systems which implement the IEEE TSN standard for reliable, real-time Ethernet-based communication.

The board includes the QorIQ® Layerscape LS1021A industrial applications processor and the SJA1105T TSN switch from NXP.

The LS1021A processor is supported by an industrial Linux software development kit based on the Xenomai real-time Linux distribution.

The LS1021A is ideal for use in industrial IoT products, as it offers support for virtualisation, a trust architecture secure platform, Gigabit Ethernet capability, a SATA interface, and an Arduino Shield connector for multiple wireless modules.
