The ISM330DLC is a system-in-package featuring a high-performance 3D digital accelerometer and 3D digital gyroscope tailored for Industry 4.0 applications. The micromachined sensing elements of the accelerometer and gyroscope are implemented on the same silicon die, providing superior stability and robustness.
The motion sensor includes built-in firmware which implements functions including tilt detection, free-fall detection, wake-up, 6D/4D orientation, and click and double-click recognition.
The ISM330DLC has a full-scale acceleration range of ±2g/±4g/±8g/±16g and an angular rate range of ±125°ps/±250°ps/±500°ps /±1,000°ps/±2,000°ps.
It offers high measurement accuracy while consuming little power: it draws a current of just 0.75mA in high-performance mode with both the accelerometer and gyroscope active. The device is suitable for use in battery-powered products.
The ISM330DLC includes a configurable signal-processing path which is notable for its low latency and low noise, and a filter circuit which enhances control-loop stability. The device’s digital measurement outputs are supplied to the application via an auxiliary serial peripheral interface which is configurable for both the gyroscope and accelerometer.
The ISM330DLC is supplied in a plastic LGA package measuring 2.5mm x 3.0mm x 0.9mm.
